Sheena Cruickshank
Dr Sheena Cruickshank is a Senior Lecturer in Immunology at the University of Manchester. Her research looks at how immune cells and bugs talk to each other and how this communication shapes the immune response in infection, inflammation (e.g. inflammatory bowel disease) and delayed wound-healing. Dr Cruickshank is particularly interested in public engagement with science and has helped develop the award-winning Worm Wagon, which explains the causes and consequences of parasitic worm infection.
