bluedot 2022 presents the Pankhurst Sessions: a cross-disciplinary programme of feminist reflections across literature, science and film, curated by Helen Pankhurst. Helen is the great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst, leaders of the British suffragette movement.

She is also a leading women’s right’s activist, author, senior advisor to CARE International, professor at Manchester University and Chancellor of the University of Suffolk.

Natasha Walter is the author of a novel, A Quiet Life (2016), two works of feminist non-fiction: Living Dolls: The Return of Sexism (2010, Virago) and The New Feminism (1998, Virago). She is also the founder of the charity Women for Refugee Women.

Nikita Gill is a poet and writer. She has written and curated seven volumes of poetry including Your Heart Is The Sea (2019), The Girl and the Goddess (2020), Where Hope Comes From: Poems of Resilience, Healing, and Light (2021) She uses social media to engage her audience.

Laura Bates is an English feminist writer. She founded the Everyday Sexism Project website in April 2012. Her first book, Everyday Sexism, was published in 2014. Other publications include Men Who Hate Women, 2020 and Fix the System, Not the Women, 2022.
