Can Your Brain Keep Up With You?
As life expectation extends and the Government expects us to work in to our old age, we will increasingly be under pressure to make sure our brain cells are up to what is expected to them. But how can you ensure your brain is capable of sufficient cognitive development as you age? Heading up leading research in to how we create new brain cells – known as neurogenesis at UCL neuroscientist Dr Sandrine Thuret can reveal a lot of the answers to keeping our cognitive function in good order is to do with what we eat and how often we eat it.
