One of the UK’s best loved dance acts, the three-time GRAMMY-nominated Groove Armada have been a mainstay of club, and chill-out, culture for over twenty years. Since the release of their debut Northern Star and the iconic Vertigo, which tipped them into household name territory, they’ve been synonymous with a sound that’s traversed house, pop, disco and hip-hop, equal parts up- and down-tempo. And over the course of their nine studio albums, they’ve worked with an extraordinary array of collaborations and guest vocalists including Richie Havens, Angie Stone, Candi Staton, Neneh Cherry, PNAU’s Nick Littlemore and Bryan Ferry.
Their latest album – 2020’s fantastic Edge of the Horizon – featured collaborations with the likes of the legendary Todd Edwards, and finally receives a live tour this summer, what is billed as the band’s final ever stretch on the road.
Our Friday night headliners at bluedot 2022, this July we welcome Groove Armada to beneath the Lovell Telescope for a career-spanning live set. And joining us on the bluedot podcast is Tom Findlay from the band!
