David O’Doherty is an award-winning comedian, author and musician.

First nominated for best newcomer in 2000 for his show The Story of the Boy Who Saved Comedy, David went on to win the main Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2008 for Let’s Comedy. He has returned to the festival every year since then, receiving widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics. He has also toured the UK and Ireland a number of times including a sell-out show at London’s iconic Hackney Empire in February 2016.

Autumn of 2017 saw David performing on the latest series of Live at the Apollo on BBC2. Other recent television appearances by David include 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie To You? and The Alternative Comedy Experience. He has also previously been a guest on and hosted Never Mind The Buzzcocks and made appearances on shows such as QI, Dave’s One Night Stand and Have I Got News For You.
