FEHM

‘Turmultuous and brooding, FEHM present a contemporary ferocity through retro ’80s synths and vibrant soaring vocals’ – The Line of Best Fit

‘An enthralling, continually evolving, intense vision of pitch black, post-punk that ripples with intelligence’ – Clash Magazine

‘A slice of melancholy brilliance’ – Too Many Blogs

Combining influences such as The Sound, The Birthday Party, New Order and The Chameleons, FEHM are a five-piece band from Leeds who create music that is ‘Startlingly brisk and wholly stark. The intensity of the delivery is married to a flood of fresh ideas’ (Clash Magazine). Part of Leeds ever evolving, close knit DIY community, they began as a 3 piece. Paul (vocals), Amy (bass) and Chris (drums) released their debut EP ‘Circadian Life’ on Art Is Hard Records last year which was described by DIY as ‘Cut through with searing white heat…a fearsome stride forward’. Last year Darren (synths) and Ben (guitar) joined the band which has seen the band take a turn to a darker, more brooding, synth led, post punk sound.

They are fast gaining a reputation as an impassioned and intense live act following support slots with the likes of Protomartyr, Eagulls, Metz, Goat Girl, Kagoule, Chain of Flowers, Pubic Access Tv, The Chameleons and Bad Breeding. They are playing a slew of festival and live dates over summer and in July are going back into the studio with Matt Peel at The Knave to record their debut album. In the meantime, they’ll be a new single coming in April.
