Geurilla Archaeology: Astronomical Feasts
Guerilla Archaeology, Cardiff University
Guerilla Archaeology invites you to find out what ancient astronomers of Stonehenge ate. We know there were seasonal feasts but what were their favourite foods? You can find out in our pop-up prehistoric supermarkets, ‘Stonehengebury’s’ and learn about new imported items that appeared on the menu of early skywatchers .
Our shop keepers will introduce you to the animals and plants that caused a food revolution five thousand years ago. You can have-a-go at planning an ancient celestial feast and explore how to prepare, cook, present and eat these new ingredients using Stone Age know-how. In our garden section we stock starter farmer kits so you can ‘grow your own’ crops and in our animal zone provide advice on cow, sheep and pig care.
