Helen Keen is a multi- award-winning writer, comedian and science enthusiast. She began her career by winning Channel 4’s New Comedy Writing Award.
Helen is the creator of the highly successful It’s Rocket Science show, a space-science-comedy, the live version of the show attracted five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has toured internationally – she also presents the show alongside Peter Serafinowicz for BBC Radio 4.
She toured the country as a guest of the Uncaged Monkeys show with Robin Ince and Prof Brian Cox. In 2015 she was awarded the prestigious Royal Society Radio Prize by the Association of British Science Writers, appointed an Innovation Fellow by WIRED magazine, and was invited to speak at the European Space Agency for their TEDx event.
Also this year Helen wrote and presented the BBC Radio 4 series, Helen Keen’s Big Problems, which was broadcast in their most popular comedy slot, and a second series has been commissioned for 2016. She is currently working on a pop science book, to be published by Hodder this autumn.
