Hot Vestry
Hot Vestry are a band from Macclesfield who play under the elusive genre of Bleichpop. Their Demo CD granted them opening slots for New Order & Johnny Marr at the prestigious Live From Jodrell Bank show. Following this, they played festivals such as the Isle Of Wight, Kendal Calling & Festival Number 6 throughout the summer of 2014, and have further supported the likes of Factory Floor, Superfood, Public Service Broadcasting, The Pop Group & JAWS. They are releasing their debut EP ‘A Scene In Between in March 2015, on Tim Burgess’ record label ‘O Genesis’. Hot Vestry will also be supporting The Charlatans at their homecoming Manchester show at The Albert Hall in March.
James Endeacott (Former A&R for The Strokes, The Libertines & Rough Trade) calls them truly wonderful, Tim Burgess says they are his favourite new band, while Manchester Evening News calls them “four teenagers deadly intent on showing up British indie-pop’s recent complacency. The band marry big pop hooks with esoteric flourishes, juddering rhythms and an impressive questing spirit with their their genre-straddling experimental pop”. Who knows what 2015 could behold…
