Talk Title: Artificial Intelligence

Jessica is head of futures research at Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation. She covers technology trend insights and leads Nesta’s work on foresight methods – how we think and plan for the future. Her research has covered human enhancement, digital healthcare, the internet of things and blockchain tech. Most recently, she is interested in ethics of machine learning, internet policy and the new space sector.  Jessica was previously Senior Policy Adviser at the Royal Society, the UK’s National Academy of Science. She covered emerging technology governance and open science initiatives.  She has written for the Economist and the Guardian. From September 2016, she will be Head of Research for a new global charity, the Dubai Future Foundation.
