Porij
Porij are an alt-dance four piece drawing inspiration from artists such as MJ Cole, Pomo and KNOWER. They gig regularly in the North, playing venues across Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield including Band On the Wall, Soup Kitchen, YES, Belgrave Music Hall, Yellow Arch Studios and Hyde Park Book Club. They’ve supported the likes of jazz legends The Headhunters, RnB Soul artist Xamvolo and Maisha. Porij have a reputation for bringing high energy, dance fuelled shows and recently sold out their first headline show in Manchester. Their debut single ‘I Like That’ has been featured heavily on Natalie Eve-Williams’ and Michelle Hussey‘s BBC Music Introducing Manchester show, thanks to the tip-off from Ryan Paul. They’ve done a couple of live radio interviews and acoustic sessions including BBC Introducing and MCR Live. They’ve also had frequent airtime on Amazing Radio and have been played on Tom Robinson and Lauren Laverne’s shows on 6 Music.
