Practical Action: The Plastics Challenge
Every year in the UK, 5 million tonnes of plastic is produced and 75% of it ends up in landfill. Engineers, scientists and designers around the world are looking at solutions to improve this situation. The Plastics Challenge created by Practical Action, will give children aged 11-16 years the chance to explore the properties of plastics and the impact that they have on our environment. The workshop is packed full of fun activities, including creating innovative, ingenious products using waste plastics. This challenge is a great way of understanding why plastic is so damaging to the planet and how we can all make a difference.
Recommended for ages 11-16. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the workshop.
Workshop Times: 12:50pm & 2:10pm
