Master djembe player and multi-instrumentalist Sidiki Dembele, moved to the UK in 2009, after touring for two and a half years as lead solo percussionist with the amazing touring circus company, Afrika! Afrika!.

He has played professionally since childhood and has been the figurehead of the accomplished Denifari company and school in his native Abidjan since its inception in 1999. The company has progressed and developed into a renowned performance phenomenon. Here in the North West of England, Sidiki continues to teach, offering private lessons, group workshops and educational school sessions as well as community events and festival appearances.

Meanwhile, Sidiki also works throughout the UK and internationally, both as a solo artist and with some of the most acclaimed West African players in the UK. He recently toured with the Royal Shakespeare company on their acclaimed production of Hamlet. He also regularly performs with the innovative Ballet Nimba company of Cardiff.
