Steve Roberts

Steve Roberts co-founded the Restoration Team whilst working at Television Centre in the early nineties. Employed as a post-production engineer by the BBC from 1987, he specialised in film transfer, grading and restoration systems. From the earliest project to restore missing colour to three Jon Pertwee stories, he and the team have leveraged cutting edge and often experimental techniques to restore episodes to their best possible quality. Steve currently supports the BBC’s archival preservation projects as the senior engineer at the BBC Archive Centre in West London.
