Sue is responsible for the policy and UK funding of the Exploration Programme. She has worked in the space sector for 24 years having a number of jobs related to project management, science policy and funding in a variety of fields including Earth observation, astronomy and planetary sciences. For the last ten years she has concentrated on exploration. In 2000 Sue was awarded the MBE for her services to space science and education.
