The University of Nottingham: Ants, bees & balls of poo: celestial navigation when you have six legs
Come and learn how insects navigate using celestial objects! In this interactive workshop, we’ll immerse you in the world of the insect navigator, we’ll teach you to do maths like an ant, and you’ll perform the honey bee waggle dance on our hive dance floor, and if you want to roll big a pile of poo back to your tent, we won’t judge you – we’ll point you to the stars. Recommended for ages 10+. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the workshop.
