Adventures in Flatland: Graphene and 2D materials with Cyril Bussey
Graphene is the first one-atom-thick material, isolated at the University of Manchester. Press releases suggest that it could be used in many applications from transparent electronics up to space technologies. In the table-top activities, the audience will have the opportunity to produce this wonderful material out of graphite using the simple “scotch tape” technique, while our scientists will illustrate some of its outstanding properties and applications.
