Anthony Holloway
Dr Anthony Holloway obtained his PhD from the University of Manchester, UK in 1996. His research involved using telescopes around the world and using data from the Hubble Space Telescope to investigate the optical, infra-red and radio emissions from active galaxies.
He then moved into the world of astronomical computing, and is the Head of Computing for the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, including the Observatory.
He is an experienced photographer, having had his images exhibited in 7 countries and obtaining the distinction of Artiste of the Federation Internationale de L’ Art Photographique, he delivers astrophotography lectures and practical sessions at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre.
