At the Wellcome Centre for Mitochondrial Research at Newcastle University we aim to transform the lives of our patients through high quality cutting edge research. This research is built on our long standing clinical and scientific expertise in mitochondria and mitochondrial disease.

At this stand we will have research scientists from the Centre who will demonstrate our research using the medium of art. There will be hands on activities to explain the new research currently being undertaken within our Centre. We will use interactive activities to highlight some of the main principles involved in mitochondrial biology and mitochondrial genetics and to demonstrate current developments in treatment research.
