Mary Casio: Journey to Cassiopeia

A festival first! We welcomed Journey To Cassiopeia to bluedot 2017. Taking inspiration from analogue synth pioneers Daphne Oram and Delia Derbyshire, Hannah Peel (The Magnetic North), backed by a full brass band, tells the story of Mary Casio – now 86 years old – and her lifelong stargazing dream to leave her South Yorkshire home in the mining town of Barnsley.
